Kayaa practises the same labour-intensive, specialised therapies performed in Kerala’s traditional treatment centres for centuries. Wooden treatment tables. Classical protocols. Medicines that predate the wellness industry by several thousand years. Nothing here has been adapted for an audience that doesn’t know the difference.

There is no treatment menu at Kayaa. Before anything is prescribed, your practitioner conducts a 60-minute clinical audit: your sleep architecture, dietary patterns, stress history and body constitution examined in full. The therapy that follows is a clinical response to what that investigation reveals — not a service you point at.

The oils, herbal decoctions and medicinal preparations used at Kayaa are sourced directly from classical pharmacies in Kerala — the same formulations dispensed in India’s most respected Ayurvedic hospitals. Fresh botanical pastes are prepared on-site daily. The potency of the medicine is the foundation of the result. We do not compromise it.

Most approaches to stress relief work on the symptom — the tight shoulders, the shallow breath, the racing mind. Kayaa works on what stress leaves inside the body: the accumulated metabolic waste, the lymphatic congestion, the nervous system locked in a state it was never designed to sustain. We don’t soothe. We clear.

Dr. Rosna holds a 5.5-year Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery — a full medical degree, not a certification course. She has 14 years of clinical practice. Every protocol at Kayaa flows from that qualification. In a market where ‘Ayurvedic practitioner’ can mean almost anything, Kayaa draws an absolute line.

Healing at Kayaa does not stop when the client leaves the clinic. Every person receives a bespoke daily routine — specific morning and evening practices prescribed to maintain clinical gains and prevent the imbalance from returning. The therapy is the beginning. The daily practice is what makes it permanent.

A plan built around everything after hearing you.

I grew up in a place where Ayurveda was just “life”. If something was wrong, we knew what to reach for. There was a logic to it, a gentleness, and it made sense to me from very early on. So I trained as a physician in Kerala. I sat with patients for years. Learned what actually mean when someone is in front of you, unwell, and trusting you with it.

When I came to Birmingham, I brought all of it with me. I couldn’t imagine doing it any other way. Kayaa came from that. From wanting people here to have access to what I had always known was possible. Not as something exotic or alternative. Just as medicine. Careful, considered, real.

I still practise the same way I always have. That part hasn’t changed. I don’t think it ever will.

Journeys of Healing

"As a second-time mom, I knew I needed more than just rest; I needed to feel 'put back together.' The postpartum Abhyanga at Kayaa was exactly that. The therapist was so mindful of my C-section recovery and used specific strokes that helped with the lingering water retention in my legs. I walked in feeling fragmented and exhausted, but I left feeling grounded and physically sealed. It’s not just a luxury; for me, it was a vital part of my healing journey."

"I grew up with my grandmother talking about the importance of the 40-day healing period, and Kayaa is the closest thing I’ve found to that traditional care here. I’m giving 4 stars only because they are so popular it’s hard to get a weekend slot! Book in advance, because the healing touch here is worth the wait."

I cannot thank Kayaa Holistic Centre enough. My mum, who is diabetic, received the most wonderful full body massage here. The therapists are not only highly skilled, but also deeply caring and attentive to individual needs. From the moment you enter, the atmosphere is calm, professional, and healing. My mum felt completely safe and comfortable, and the results have made a real difference to her well-being. I highly recommend getting a massage package here — it’s the best investment you can make for yourself or your loved ones. You will never regret it, and the consistent care truly enhances the benefits over time. Kayaa Holistic Centre is a blessing!

I had a wonderful experience with the postpartum treatment at Kayaa Holistic. From the very first session, I felt completely cared for and understood. The therapist was extremely professional, gentle, and knowledgeable, and the treatment was perfectly tailored to my postnatal needs. The Ayurvedic massage helped me relax deeply, reduced body stiffess, and gave me a real sense of physical and emotional rejuvenation after childbirth. The oils and techniques used felt very authentic, and the overall environment was calm, clean, and comforting. What I appreciated most was the genuine care and attention given throughout the sessions. It truly felt like holistic healing rather than just a massage. I would highly recommend Kayaa Holistic to any new mother looking for natural and supportive postpartum care.

"I struggled significantly with postnatal depletion and 'brain fog.' The therapists here don't just give you a massage; they understand the anatomy of a woman who has just given birth. The herbal steam treatment at the end was the highlight—I felt like I literally sweated out weeks of exhaustion. My joint stiffness has improved drastically after just three sessions. Highly recommend for any mum feeling physically 'stuck' after pregnancy."

I have been having some health issues over the last six months and wanted to try a new route. I attended the clinic last week where I was given some really great advice, I then had the most amazing treatment with warm oils and a steam. Thank you to the team for helping me begin the journey of true healthy

Recently, I took my sister for postpartum care at Kaaya Holistic Centre, and the experience was truly amazing. After the treatment, she felt completely relaxed, lighter, and more balanced both physically and emotionally. The care, attention, and healing touch they provide during such a sensitive phase of a woman’s life is priceless. She strongly feels that every woman should experience this kind of postpartum treatment to recover, rejuvenate, and feel supported. Highly recommended for new mothers looking for holistic healing and care.

Dr Lakshmi was amazing, she gave me a full lymphatic drainage massage. She offered me advice to help my ongoing issues. I would definitely recommend. I continued my treatment with Dr Lakshmi for 6 weeks for my long term leg pain from prolonged standing. This treatment has improved my pain and helped my circulation. She has been a great help, made me feel comfortable, relaxed and given me the best advice.

I booked a postpartum Ayurvedic massage and was disappointed with the overall experience. The therapist wore gloves, which made the massage feel more like friction on my skin rather than a traditional, warm oil treatment. Limited time was spent on my postpartum focus areas, despite this being the primary reason for my visit.

I had a wonderful experience at Kayaa Holistic Centre. I’ve been struggling with chronic back pain and overall stiffness in my body, and after my massage I felt so much relief. The therapist did an excellent job, very professional, attentive, and skilled. I left feeling lighter, relaxed, and more comfortable than I have in a long time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for real healing and care!

I had a full body massage and steam, followed by a mini consultation. With my own medical background and minimal understanding of Ayurvedic medicine, I had a great discussion and chose to use Ayurvedic medicine for my own symptoms , although I’m trained in mainstream ans naturopathic medicine. It made alot of sense to correct imbalances ans look at lifestyle, in comparison, mainstream medicines aims to manage symptoms rather than correcting root causes.
